NateChrony v 2.5 Ballistic Chronograph
The NateChrony v2.5
The latest iteration of the most accurate Chronograph on the market, and replaces the v2 as our basic Chronograph. However it now has the same hardware as the SteadyShot, so can be upgraded via software to a SteadyShot.
The NateChrony is a barrel mounted ballistic chronograph for all Air Rifles. It is the most accurate available – calibrated from our certified master Chronographs to within 1fps @ 1,000fps. Its affordable, super easy to use, and best of all – no more missed readings! The NateChrony mounts onto your barrel with one of the adapters for perfect alignment every time.
Using your mobile phone as the screen and battery, means you get the best display on the market and never get surprised by a flat battery in your Chronograph.
Any device with Wi-Fi and a web browser – mobile phone, tablet, laptop, pc will work with the NateChrony. You connect to the NateChrony’s Wi-Fi hotspot and load a page directly from it, there’s no internet or apps to install, no permissions required or data shared.
The NateChrony is fully featured and will provide all the data even the most demanding tuner requires. It displays a current shot string, full statistics: min, max, average, spread, standard deviation, and has four additional save slots – all of which retain the data when power is lost. It also has advanced features such as live graphing output, and voice readout – all of which are easily configured via a web interface.
Requirements
You’ll need this stuff to use the NateChrony – typically if you have a mobile phone you’re set!
- If using a mobile phone/tablet, it should be less than 5 years old & up to date
- Working knowledge of your device, including browser and internet technologies
- Working knowledge of any additional security software installed on your device
- A 5v standard USB power source
- A device (phone/tablet) that can connect to a Wi-Fi hotspot, that does not have internet access
- A web browser that can connect to a HTTP (not HTTPS) web page and run JavaScript
- You can test your device here, ensure the page loads and displays a speed and power value, and when clicking on Menu – Shoot, you hear the speed and power readout
NOTE: if you have software or settings on your device that do not permit this – you will need to change your settings.

- Resolution: <0.1fps shot to shot at 1,000fps

- CO2 power can cause vapor, not recommended

Working with data:
Massively flexible – whatever you can do with a web page, you can do with the NateChrony. You can directly print or share/email your results easily!
NateChrony SteadyShot Chronograph & Training Tool
Identical looking product to the NateChrony, but don’t be fooled, it has additional features.
The NateChrony SteadyShot
We took the latest NateChrony and added movement sensors to it. The SteadyShot has the capability to monitor all the movement of your muzzle, to give you insights to exactly what you’re doing – and when you’re doing it.
Are you steady? are you smooth? are you consistent? You can now know.
SteadyShot Features
As always we continue to develop and improve our products based on customer feedback. If there’s something you need or want – let us know.
The current set of SteadyShot features is (at least):
- Monitor movement in 3 axis: left/right, up/down, back/forth
- Graphs of movement: shows your movement on 3 separate graphs (1 per axis)
- Zoom: drill into specific areas of your movement on the graphs easily
- Score: scores for each axis of movement and a total score – allows you to measure and improve your form
- 3D View: A highly intuitive view of what your movement was in 3 dimensions (PC/Laptop preferred for analysis)
- Data: full export/download of all data, track your progress over time or work with coaches to improve your form
NOTE: Key areas of development focus will be the 3D view and graphing.
Advanced Software
We have also added a lot of new features & capabilities to the NateChrony software, continuing to make our products even better. This not only applies to the SteadyShot features, but also the Chronographs capabilities. We’ve also added AirSoft specific features and capabilities.
New Features:
- High rate of fire: up to 1,250 shots per second
- Field mode: quickly determine if power is over or under 3 pre-configured limits without a display
- AirSoft pages: specific pages for airsoft data, quick pellet change

NateChrony SmartTarget
The NateChrony SmartTarget
Add some smarts to your target! Mount the NateChrony SmartTarget to the back of your existing targets, when the target is struck by an object & moves – the SmartTarget will detect the movement, register the shot, and based on the way your target moves – tell you approximately where the shot landed.
SmartTarget
The NateChrony SmartTartget has an inbuilt motion sensor that detects movement, by analyzing this movement it can detect being hit, and also the possible location of that hit. Mounting to a free moving target such as a hanging gong is highly recommended – as it can freely move in left-right and up-down directions.
The SmartTarget can be mounted to any surface, and used to detect any object – airguns, firearms, baseball… If you need to detect movement and strike location, the SmartTarget is for you.
The features will be rapidly improving as we get customer feedback and develop additional features.

Requirements
You’ll need this stuff to use the SmartTarget – typically if you have a mobile phone you’re set!
- A target: when struck at the extremities at the highest power, at the closest range – it should move/rotate approx. 45 degrees
- A 5v USB power source: we recommend a quality USB power bank, 1×28650 will last ~8hrs
- Solar panel (recommended): add a small ~2-5W panel to charge while its in the field
- USB-C Cable: Choose a quality cable that’s long enough to get the battery away from the hit zone, 1m minimum recommended
- If using a mobile phone/tablet, it should be less than 5 years old & up to date
- Working knowledge of your device, including browser and internet technologies
- Working knowledge of any additional security software installed on your device
- A device (phone/tablet) that can connect to a Wi-Fi hotspot, that does not have internet access
